Monday 28 September
- 14:00 — Gates open. Pitch your tent, then jeep rides, bouncy castles, the farm tour and the mystery hunt.
- Evening — Fire up the BBQ; the food stand opens.
- After dark — Bonfire kumzitz for Simchas Beis Hashoeiva. Bring an instrument.
Tuesday 29 September
- Morning — Guided family hike.
- 14:00 — Checkout. Please be packed up by then.
Exact timings for the kumzitz and minyanim will be posted in the WhatsApp group before the event.
Essentials:
- Your own tent — or a spot in the big sukkah if you're a man or boy (choose it when you book)
- Mattresses, sleeping bags or blankets, and a pillow — needed in the sukkah too
- Warm layer for the evening: the desert gets cold at night
- Change of clothing, nightwear, toothbrush and toothpaste
- Wet wipes — there are no showers on site
Food & drink:
- Refillable water bottles — there is a cold drinking water station
- Food for supper, breakfast and lunch. A BBQ stand sells hot dogs, burgers, kababs and drinks if you'd rather not cook.
- Cooler with ice packs — there is no public fridge on site
- Grill and coals if you're cooking, plus plates, cutlery and napkins
Nice to bring:
- A musical instrument — the Simchas Beis Hashoeiva kumzitz is ours to make
- Camping chairs, torch or head-torch, insect repellent
- Sun hat and sunscreen
- Washing cup, siddur, lulav & etrog
A 20-minute 4x4 jeep ride is included with every ticket. You group up with up to 7 people and choose how extreme you want the ride — gentle and scenic, or properly bumpy.
Want longer? ₪800 books your family its own jeep for a full hour, up to 7 riders. Add it when you book — the number of private jeeps is limited.
The ride has both scenic calm stretches and more thrilling, bumpier moments through the forest.
Rides are open to all ages.
Pregnant women who have been advised to avoid strenuous activity should consult their doctor first; there are bumpy stretches.
Bring your own tent. There is no tent rental this year and no women's glamping tent. There is plenty of space to pitch in sun or shade.
If you don't own a tent, they are widely on sale this time of year — Decathlon, MaxStock and similar — from around ₪100.
Men can sleep in the big sukkah. Space is limited, so please choose that option when you book rather than turning up expecting a spot. Bring your own mattress and bedding.
Facilities: portable toilets on site. There are no showers this year — please plan for one night without one.
A food stand will be selling hot dogs, burgers, kababs and drinks on site.
You are still welcome to bring and grill your own. Pack enough for the meals you want covered: lunch, supper, breakfast, and lunch again.
There is no public fridge. If you have something that must be kept refrigerated, please be in touch in advance and we will do our best to help. Otherwise a cooler with ice packs will see you through.
There is a cold drinking water station for refilling bottles through the day.
Checkout is at 14:00 on Tuesday, which gives you the whole morning on site. Please be completely packed up and away by then so the site can be cleaned and reset.
